I know the headline sounds a little scary or crazy but it’s unfortunately shocking enough once you read what I need to say to you in this short article. Many people will begin clicking away within seconds of reading this – I’m not trying to sell anything, this is just some honest down to earth advice and help offered.
Most of you will start to look at several forms of work at home businesses before settling into one idea that you want to make work. This is the route most people take, and a formidable one. However if you can manage to keep reading for just 5 minutes I might just change your entire outlook. Please, keep reading!
If you never realized, you will end up sacrificing pretty much all of your spare time. You won’t have any form of social life, and you will not see too much of your family. This is one of the so-called benefits of working for yourself.
There is every likelihood, in this day and age that your business could fail within 2 years – this is not a myth it is a proven fact that more than 90% fail within this time period. Shocking isn’t it, especially after your commitment to the project. So here is what you need to do.
Start to become a list builder. Pardon? I hear you say? Create a list of people interested in a certain topic. This involves capturing those peoples details such as name and email address, offering them something of genuine value which will enhance their lives, for free and send them an email about new products once per month or so.
Why would this be a better choice than just starting a business anyway? Well statistically when your business fails you will have to start all over again, doing the groundwork, advertising, finding customers – all time consuming and costly. With a list, the advertising becomes free, the customers are always there.
So if you can imagine that 2 years down the line you manage to generate 5000 people on a list, which can be done easily when you know how. The value equates to around $1 per subscriber. Send out a simple email, and a percentage of people will buy from you, and you will normally earn around $5000 from that one email.
You can send out more than 1 email a month and earn substantially more. Some list owners have lists bigger than 300,000 subscribers, which is worth a huge fortune when done right.
Choose to build a list first, and then use that list to build any business of your choice. Work at home businesses come and go, but your list does not.
