However, once your site becomes well known and you have a few advertisers up under your belt, you will not have to search by yourself any longer.

But until that moment arrives, you must continue searching on your own for advertisers. Also, don’t make it so hard for advertisers to reach you. The purpose of this article is to explain how you can get targeted advertisers for practically any website, no matter what your niche is.

Connect with Banner Advertisers: If you look at other sites in your niche, you will see that many of them already have advertisements. In order to make use of this technique, you should get rid of any fear that you may have about directly contacting and dealing with advertisers. Here you need to get in touch with those advertisers that have purchased banner spots on the website.

Because these companies probably talked directly to the blog owners, they will be more approachable when it comes to new advertising slots. With time you’ll realize that in this business, you need to have an eye for finding quality advertisers. It takes some effort, but getting in touch with the right kind of advertisers can make a world of a difference. The above really only just starts to scratch the surface of what is available concerning wordpress theme.

Take a look at what is occurring on your end, and that may help you to refine what you need. Even though it is important to every person concerned, there are important variables you should keep in mind. You understand that you are ultimately the one who knows which will have the greatest impact. The latter half of our talk will center on a few highly pertinent issues as they concern your possible circumstances.

Reply to All Requests for Press Releases: If more people start to follow your blog, then more requests for reviews will come through via your blog’s contact page. You should utilize this to your advantage in order to get more blog advertisers. Instead of hitting the delete button and sending these off to the trash bin, reply to all the requests that you get. Advise them that you liked their product and that it would be good for them to advertise it on your website.

Make sure that your bid is not confusing. Explain that your two target markets are one and the same and that it would be advantageous for their business to form a partnership with you. When you provide a list of the benefits, then provide details about their advertising choices. See if and whether or not they are interested in your offer.

Converse with Site Owners Directly: If you go to a website in your niche that is not as big as your site, you can get in touch with the owner and give them a proposal. Convince them that when they put ads on your website, it will bring more focused traffic to them. It would prove to be a good partnership. This could bring about more brand recognition for them. However, do not attempt to contact your competitor sites because they will not accept your proposal.

You are going to have to find the right balance when you are trying to find advertisers. Avoid ads from companies that aren’t relevant to yours. Your whole plan should be to find niche advertisers who want to invest in a good opportunity, which would be placing ads on your site.
Tags: mlm opportunities, make money from home

Related posts:

Another Reason to Use Premium WordPress Themes

How to Build a Niche Site With a Blog

Stories of Those Who Got Their Account Hacked

Blogging

buy Wow gold

cheap gold in Wow

cheap wow buy gold

Cheap Wow gold

gold in Wow

gold Wow

World of Warcraft gold

Wow buy gold

Wow gold

Wow gold buy

Wow gold cheap

Wow gold cheap buy

As fun as online game World of Warcraft (WoW) maybe for millions of people around the world, scams and hackers do exist on WoW and all players need to be aware of it. He google it for WoW armory site, and the site asked him to enter his account name and security password. He thought to himself briefly that he doesn’t recall armory site having to ask for account info before, but it was late and was tired so he gave out the info. And so he lost everything the next day, and the hacker also transferred his personality to another server and made my friend paid for the transfer.

One thing for sure, and this is also warn by Blizzard, is that, Blizzard will NEVER EVER Message you in game for any news. Any news or event will be submitted to the actual Blizzard site (wwwworldofwarcraftcom), or on your log in screen. Any pet Blizzard giving out will come directly in your in online game mail box.

I hear horror stories like these a lot through out the 5 years that I’ve play WoW, I can go on and on about each players that I know who got hacked, but I think you got the thought of what will happen if you get scammed by these hackers. So please beware of them. Again, Blizzard will NEVER EVER information you in game, and report these messages to Blizzard if you get one. It’s a crowded field, especially if you pick a subject that is covered by many sources already. One of the toughest parts of being a blogger is coming up with new material that people will want to read about.

You’ll find that blogs are a great way to make money online because they rise to the top in internet searches. Search engines continually give blogs high rankings because they are usually updated with fresh content regularly.

Let’s discuss some ways that will help you in your quest to keep your blog filled with timely, interesting information.

To get started you can sit down and think about some new ideas to write about. Try writing an outline that deconstructs the answers to some of your reader’s questions. In order to do that, however, you have to be in tune with what your readers are thinking.

You can do this by taking your main topic and breaking it down into 10 questions. Try to approach it as a beginner to the subject, would. This will help you to come up with a variety of ideas. If you need more help consult Yahoo Answers as a guide.

Here’s a way you can do that. Take your topic and break it down into parts. Think about questions for each section. Try to look at the subject the way someone hearing about it for the first time would. If you are still stumped you can look online for ideas or consult Yahoo Answers.

Many bloggers find this method to be helpful when given the burden of coming up with ideas for a regular blog schedule. It can make the lean weeks easier to get through and prevent writer’s block. Now that you have some good ideas, you should think about writing the most effective titles you can for each entry.

This brainstorming method should help you with your quest for new and exciting blog copy. Once you start writing, comments from your readers will start flowing in and you can use them for copy ideas. Don’t forget to use current events as a source, as well.

In addition to all these great tips, my favorite is just to talk to my computer. That’s right, just talk right into my microphone, and let the program DragonSpeak do all the typing for me. This tends to get my creative juices running, because I don’t have to stare at the keyboard trying to figure out how to spell a certain word, or strike the right key. You see, I’m kind of a “peck and hope” kind of typist. Hmm

So if you are stuck… speak away. I got this program for Xmas, and it has been a blast. As a matter of fact this article was dictated to my computer and well, how do you like it?
Tags: internet based home business, mlm opportunities

Related posts:

Writing Great Content For Your Blog

5 Ways to Skyrocket Your Blog Traffic

How to Write a Blog Series

Can’t Decide Between Free WordPress Blog Or Self-Hosted WordPress Blog? The username you use to join becomes your blog name. As an example I have a username “howdoyoustartablog”. This translates to my free wordpress blog site “howdoyoustartablog.wordpress.com”

A self-hosted WordPress blog is your own blog on your own domain with your own hosting or paid hosting account upon which you install the WordPress software. WordPress becomes the software to manage your site and your blog. You can download the software for free from WordPress.org. However, many hosting companies today have a push button installation available via Fantastico Deluxe or Simple Scripts. Check out my free video which walks you through an example Simple Scripts installation with hostmonster.

So the question is: which one is for you?

FREE WORDPRESS BLOG PLUSSES AND MINUSES

PLUS setup is entirely free

PLUS installation is easy (done by WordPress the company)

PLUS no worry system maintenance (setup, upgrades, backups, security are all done by WordPress)

PLUS server reliability (servers hosting site are actual WordPress.com servers)

PLUS inclusion into the WordPress.com community may facilitate community traffic

MINUS non-Wordpress provided themes are allowed

MINUS cannot change or edit any of the php programming (useful for adding almost unlimited site functionality and customization)

MINUS cannot upload any WordPress plugins from third parties. There is a huge WordPress plugin community

MINUS no ad placements allowed. In fact, WordPress will place their own ads on your blog

MINUS Site will be a WordPress brand

MINUS no content .ownership. Blog is still a WordPress site .

SELF HOSTED WORDPRESS BLOG PLUSSES AND MINUSES

PLUS can change theme to a non-Wordpress third party custom theme. You can upload a custom one or choose form one of thousands of third party themes out there to dress up your website.

PLUS can edit php code if you so desire. There are many php code examples and plugins available.

PLUS can add plugins! The WordPress and PHP development community is huge and you can get a plugin for just about anything including security, backups, marketing, and traffic generation

PLUS your own ads allowed, better control of monetization

PLUS your own brand/domain name

PLUS ftp access to your site

MINUS you need to set up yourself (though most hosting providers provide push button installation through “Fantastico Deluxe” or “Simple Scripts”. Plus my free video walks you through this process.

MINUS costs involved to setup. You have to pay domain registrar fees which is about $15 a year. Hosting fees can be $5 to $10 a month.

MINUS you need to do your own site maintenance including spam control, security, and backups for example. There are plugins to help you but it is a process you still need to do on your own

MINUS need to find reliable servers. Make sure to choose a good hosting company. Most of them have a pretty good uptime guarantee.

In summary, if you are looking to blog in the “traditional” blogging sense adn only need a basic framework, there is no reason for you to go paid. You will be fine with a free blog. However, if you want to fully control and monetize your blog, you may do better with the hosted version. For the simple act of adding adsense to your blog you will need a hosted WordPress site. From there, adding your own custom look and feel and function is only offered at a rudimentary level by WordPress free blogs. If you are looking to maximize look, feel, and function, you are better off with a hosted WordPress blog.

That is why in most situations, I recommend a self-hosted paid blog.

I hope this article has been helpful. I’m always skeptical about such hyped up programs and decided to investigate the offer for myself.

I don’t usually do this as there are but a few individuals that have proven themselves to me and because of that, I buy their products. Actually, we have had such a long standing relation that just like their other clients, I just pay for their upgrades, and I’m not talking about minor bug fixes; those are free, I’m referring to completely revamped process and techniques they have added. But getting back to the Push Button Cash Site offer, I must say up front….

1. If you are brand new to Internet Marketing, you will end up with a tool you will be able to use if you follow the autoblogging method of making money on line. But you could do better… just read on.

There are a few videos, of which the second, is somewhat disheartening. I have to be fair in my observation; this video talks about Niche Selection, but he only shows the keyword research related to a niche he had previously selected. He fails to show how he went about selecting the niche he went into, and this is in my opinion gross negligence.

On video number 3 he goes into how to get a hosting account set up with Hostgator.

No “WOW” moment here, just that this information is freely available, all you have to do is a Google search and you will be given pages and pages of sites containing instructions on how to set up a hosting account with Hostgator, and you will even find several videos showing you how to do this.

But what really set me back on my chair was his demonstration of how to select a domain name.

So get this, he uses Hostgator’s domain registration service; which I guess is not bad, but while showing you how to select a domain name from the list of keywords obtained from the Google external keyword tool, he tells you that it is ok to use a site domain name which has each word separated by a hyphen such as “your-domain-name.com.” Ok I don’t want to be accused of being a purist, because I have done this in the past, and got zero rankings, and latter learned that Google considers such site domain names to be spamy. And here is the problem with his domain name syntax. You see, he is recommending you place Google Adsense ads on these sites! Just ask around and you will get several well known marketing experts (I’m not one of them; marketing expert that is) telling you that this is a no no.

He does make some very good suggestions like tracking all your site related registration information in a Spreadsheet. And he gives a high level demonstration of signing up with both Clickbank and Adsense.

On video #4 he talks about how to get WordPress set up using fantastico. Look if you are brand new to Internet Marketing, this is good instruction. However; if you have already done this, then you just have to either skip, or hang around for the hope of getting some nuggets of “WOW I did not know that” moment. So wait for it, wait for it, and …. nope nothing. Damn it Jim!

On Video #5 he goes into some WordPress configuration settings, and…. nope, no “WOW” moments here either. But then again, if this is all new to you, then this is good info to follow, but this is info you can get for free via a Google search. However; there is one area that I take exception to.

He goes into explaining “permalinks” and chooses to select “date and name of post”. Again, at the risk of being accused of being an SEO puritan you really do not want to do this. In a nutshell, if you are making a site which will focus on one main theme topic, then all you need is a permalink that looks like this /%postname%/ This will give you an URL that if your post was about the greatest widget ever built and your domain name was widgethistory.com, the entire URL would show as widgethistory.com/greatest-widget-ever-built/. If however; you had a site covering multiple topics, and you had structured your site to catalog your articles in their corresponding categories, then using a permalink like /%category%/%postname%/ would be more appropriate.

If you did like me, and passed on all his up sells, when you get to video #6 he will try to up sell you to his multi site license plugging.

He does show you how to install a free wordpress plugging which will convert your simple wordpress blog installation into a multisite wordpress blog. Pretty much the same thing you end up with if you manually installed wordpress-mu. The plugging is called “enable multi-site” and it is the one developed by Jason Grim. Which is quite a blow for a certain marketer who is pushing his push button solution as well, but get this, he sells you a plug in that does the exact same thing this plugging does for free, shame, shame, shame. And, just like this product owner, he too has an upgraded version which allows you to automate the installation process of hundreds of sites. However; the last time I looked into his fairy dust solution, his clients where complaining about the product not working, and since his forum which was created to support his clients was getting full of flame he expediently dealt with the problems by – get this – shutting down the forum. Now that’s how you take care of your clients!

On Video #7 he goes into how to install his Push Button Auto Pilot Cash Site plugging.

He emphasizes that if you purchase the single license you can install it in as many single installations of word press as you like, but you lose on the benefits of a multi-site wordpress installation; mainly you save money on having to pay for each new domain name needed for each of your new single sites. However; I think I know a way or two around this so called limitation.

So through vids 8 – 10, he shows you how his Push Button Cash Site pluggin works. His plugging pulls content from 3 main sources, Youtube Vids, RSS feeds, and articlabase.com.

On vid #11 he shows you how to monetize your site with a few Google Adsense plugging; mainly Adsense Optimizer, and Adsense on Top (although he didn’t show how Adsense On Top Works). He also shows how to add a Clickbank plugging; “WP Clickbank Ad Display”; which is actually a widget you can add to the site’s sidebar.

Regarding themes, he recommends the use of Socrates Theme; which again, for a brand new comer to the Internet Marketing arena, its’ a good theme to use. I personally prefer other themes which IMHO gives you more flexibility and customization, which will help you reduce your footprint.

Then he has the compulsory partner banners which as you may have guessed are there to give him a few more opportunities to dig further into your pocket.

And that is about all there is to this Push Button Auto Pilot Cash Sites wonder bullet which will make you hundreds of thousands of dollars in no time at all.

So what is my opinion?

Bottom line is; if you are just starting out, and want to pursue the autoblogging technique to making money online, then the plugging is a fair priced tool. Yes there are other plugging that will do much more than his, and give you tons of flexibility, and many ways to monetize your site, but they cost a bit more. My preference is the solid plugging WP-Robot; a bit pricy, but won’t let you down.

On the other hand, if you are looking for step by step instructions on how to make money online, then this program fails to deliver. However; I must allow some room for doubt, because I did not go for any of his multiple backend up sells which may provide that kind of instructions.

So there you have it. This turned out to be nothing else but an autoblogging system, and nothing more.

Again, there is nothing wrong with the autoblogging strategy, I have a few of them set up and they do perform well. I just get somewhat ticked when these people feel they can get away with hyping up nothing but a rehashed process that has been around for awhile and promote it like its the newest idea ever.
Tags: home business, residual income

No related posts.

Have You Had Success With Autoblogging?

Autoblogging

Blogging

autoblog

Before anyone else says that autoblogging doesn’t work, let’s have a little chat. However; I do want you to be honest with yourself though, when you answer these questions. I’m being blatantly honest with you. I’ve been accused, more than once, of being as blunt as a pair of Kindergarten scissors. This is going to be one of those times.

Have you watched all the videos? Really? Have you watched them all? Have you followed and understood the method? Really? Without deciding right away that you know all that stuff already or know a better way? Did your way work? If it did, what are you complaining about? If it didn’t, why aren’t you re-watching the videos and following them to a “T?” Once you grasp the concept, you should be ready to go out and create your own special way of doing it. But first, you need to intimately understand exactly how it works.

When you picked a niche, did you pick a good one? How do you know? Did you make a blog about ipods, ipads, plasma TVs or some other thing that everyone and their grandmother have already beaten into oblivion? Have you even considered any of the millions of other things people buy each day? Did you capitalize on the World Cup? How about the Stanley Cup playoffs? LeBron James?

Do you have plans for any upcoming events? Why not? Do you even know what’s happening now? Next week? Next month? Next year? Some big events happen every year. Even the one-off things get plenty of news coverage. Learn to recognize them when they’re just getting started and jump in with both feet.

Will whatever you’re promoting ever go viral? I’ll wager, in most cases, no. Did the World Cup go viral? Did the SC playoffs go viral? U betcha! There are still a million other things you can promote that will go viral too. Viral = BIG $’s… but only if you’re prepared for it. Weight loss, acne cream and hemorrhoid ointments will never go viral. Those things are table scraps compared to things that go viral.

What’s viral today? LeBron James is still in the news. So is the Gulf oil spill and most anything political. (if you’re in the US) All that is old news but, when it was new, why didn’t you see it coming? Do things have to reach out and pinch you? Can you spot the difference between something that’s going to be big and all the mediocre crap? Why not? You don’t need a crystal ball to know when something will likely grow legs.

When whatever is viral today stops being viral, let it go… abandon it. Drop it like it’s hot. What do you have to lose? Did you invest $8 or $10 in a domain name? Did it pay for itself? Let it go. Move on to the next thing that’s sprouting wings and ride it like a rented mule.

How are you monetizing your blogs? Are you relying strictly on adcents? Do you really want to do all that work to get traffic, then let it go for a penny or two? In addition to all the CPA networks, there are a shit-load of places that have their own affiliate programs. Places you can get into, no matter where in the world you’re from. Even if adcents is the best you can do, at least make your blog about something that will show ads that get $8 or $10 or $15 clicks. There are lots of them out there… stop settling for pennies!

You can blog and tweet about things that are viral now, or about to go viral, without having anything directly related to promote. But, sooner or later, something you CAN promote will pop up. Let’s take politics, for example, since I hate talking about it so much. Could you be auto-blogging and tweeting about politics now and building a huge following? You could be on either side (or, both sides) and still win. People who’re interested in politics are also likely to be interested in things like health insurance, protecting their identities, buying gold and a whole host of other things. See what I mean about finding something to promote?

Have you looked at any of the twits you follow or that are following you? Are any of them real people or are they all other bots? If you have a decent niche and aren’t getting conversions, you’re probably just letting your bot talk to other bots. Look into it a little. It’s not rocket surgery! If you’re in something viral, it’s easy to get real humans to follow you. Humans have money, bots do not.

It’s way too easy to set up an autoblog and a twitter account and let the automation take over. There are millions of people on twitter doing exactly that. There are also millions of real people on twitter and they have real money and they buy real things… every day. All you gotta do is make your bots just a little bit better than all the others. It’s easy to humanize your auto-blogs and your twitter accounts. It takes a few minutes out of your busy schedule but not the 8 or 9 hours you’d waste working at some J.O.B. for some asswipe that doesn’t appreciate what you do. If you’re going to work hard, you may as well work hard for yourself and don’t whine about it. If you’ll put in 8 solid hours at this, like you would for a boss, you’ll be miles ahead.

Consider this a job, whether full-time or part-time, and treat it like one. Set a schedule and a list of certain things that need to be accomplished in the allotted time. If you’re serious, you can’t just come and go as you please, just because you’re your own boss.

Think about things a little bit. I mean really think. You know, most people have never taught themselves how to think, they just react. Thinking is the act of having an original thought or being able to identify and solve a problem. Thinking is not taking in someone elses ideas and regurgitating the answers on demand. When you really think, you can almost feel your brain move, just like when you’re flexing a muscle. Sounds creepy, doesn’t it? But it feels good.

Thinking makes you feel smarter and actually results in you becoming smarter. It’s not difficult to learn, either. It’s an exercise… just like a physical workout. Turn off the TV or your computer and look around. The world is full of things that can provoke real thoughts. Question things. Question others. Put yourself in someone elses position and try to see things from their perspective. Imagine the future. Pay attention to the future, there are indicators (clues) everywhere.

Once you see things from 2 or 3 different angles, you’ll feel yourself starting to think. Once you begin to think, there’ll be no stopping what you’re capable of.

Reread this post until it feels like it’s drilling into your brain. Learn it, live it, love it.
Tags: internet based home business, acn

No related posts.

Autobloggers Beware!

Autoblogging

Blogging

copyright violations

Everyone who autoblogs or maintains any site that allows user-submitted content should be keeping a very close eye on the developments around the Righthaven lawsuits. They have launched lawsuits against close to 200 people for alleged copyright infringements. Bear in mind they’re not trying to win the lawsuits. They are using them as a pressure tactic to force defendants into a quick settlement. And it’s working, as their settlement offers are lower than the costs it would be to defend the case (apparently a couple thousand dollars per suit).

If you’re autoblogging, think long and hard about scraping news stories, especially from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. You could quickly end up in the cross-hairs of Righthaven. It could be to fulfill a need, an interest or an obsession in either his or her personal endeavors or business opportunities. For most people who have an online business, having a blog is an absolute must that serves its purpose and as an extension of his or her business.

For most of us trying to make an online income, monetizing our blog is a foregone conclusion. It’s just a matter of determining when the proper time is to do so.

While there are obvious benefits to the blogger who monetizes his or her blog at a later stage, rushing into it has its fair share of pitfalls too. So, care must be taken, and you should try to decide when that perfect time is to start.

Let’s take a look at both approaches, so you can see which approach will be best for you and your blog.

The “Monetize Later” Approach

I have to say that in general, I don’t see too many blogs without any obvious signs of monetization like banner ads or affiliate programs.

Those who chose this approach tend to cater to a specific audience and are trying to build their blog to one that can command authority and trust.

Traffic is a top ingredient of its success and their first priority is to generate a huge amount of traffic to their blog, first, before anything else takes place. It’s like holding on to a trump card and waiting to find the perfect time to use it.

My Thoughts on This Approach

Banner ads used to be a popular and effective means of promotions years ago, but I personally feel they have lost much of their novelty.

In fact, some of these bloggers go from swearing by them years ago to swearing at them now. Perhaps those who preferred to monetize their blog later saw this coming and figured a better way would be to focus more on using their blog to build trust and market their brand name for their online business.

It depends a lot on the niche that you are targeting, too. The smaller the niche, the more targeted the audience becomes, and you have a higher chance of providing your product and services to this demographic of people who demand them.

On a small niche site I used to own, I had good success using banner ads. They were very targeted to the audience that I was catering to, which made them more appealing.

On a broader niche site, such as my replaceyoursalary.com site, it’s more of a hit or miss thing going on. Placement pays an important part.

My Final Verdict
Overall, with this approach, I think there are bloggers who want to gain recognition as a blogger who focus more on first building trust and getting traffic to his or her blog, then later looking for ways to monetize that traffic with targeted ads. You don’t have to agree, but there are many bloggers out there in various niches that use this approach. Did you use this approach? Why or why not?

The “Monetize at the Beginning” Approach

Monetizing your blog immediately when you first set it up has its advantages. Many people have used their blog specifically to make an online income; although, if you follow the exploits of John Chow and Darren Rowse of the blogging fraternity, it can be done but not as easy as it seems.

Most people choose to monetize earlier than later because they cannot find good reasons to wait. Earning a little money from a new blog now could go towards paying off some of the costs to operate your blog. Money is always the best motivation factor that can certainly make you work harder to achieve your goals in setting up the blog in the first place.

For some others, monetizing a new blog means not having to bother with redesigning it later to accommodate the banner ads and other forms of moneymaking strategies that may affect your overall look and feel.

Those who choose this route may be seasoned bloggers who know just how to go about generating quick traffic to their new blog, too.

My Thoughts on This Approach

In order to be successful in monetizing a relatively new blog, you need to have at least two important things working well for you – targeted traffic and good conversions. You don’t want thousands of visitors coming to your blog and yet shy away from whatever products or services that your blog promotes, do you?

This is where your keyword research comes in handy and could make a difference between failure and success. It also depends on what content you are building on your blog.

If efforts have been made to focus on a specific topic, there is greater chance of very targeted traffic getting the information they are searching for on your blog. This of course translates to more sales and generates more income for your business.

My Final Verdict
Monetizing your blog at the beginning is a risky move, but can pay off later on as you are introducing your blog to the world already monetized. This way, readers will not be surprised or upset that you have added some forms of advertising to your blog later on down the road. Did you use this approach? Why or why not?

What Time is the Right Time?

As you can see, there is never a clear answer to when you should start monetizing your blog as there are many factors that determine the best time to do so. A lot depends on your goals in your business and the reason you set up your blog and what strategies you are currently using to meet those objectives.

Which approach do I prefer? As with my small niche site I talked about earlier, I set that up to monetize right away, and it worked. My broader niche site was set up the same way, and any future sites will follow suit. However, I have nothing wrong with the monetizing later approach.

Like I said, it all depends on what your ultimate goals are for you and your blog. For me, my goal is simple: to make money online.

What is your goal?

Related posts:

How To Get Twitter Followers Fast – Start a Massive Following Today

How to Start With Affiliate Marketing

Writing Great Content For Your Blog

Another Reason to Use Premium WordPress Themes

Blogging

promotion

There’s a reason I promote premium WordPress themes a lot. So how can you build authority and achieve these two great feats?

1. The Obvious: Write Great Content

The truth is, you alone can’t build your authority. You need support from others. As a matter of fact, they are the driving force towards you becoming an authority blogger. Writing great content is one of the best ways to draw people’s attention to your blog.

It is always important to give your best when trying to write for your blog (and other blogs) because your content is a reflection of who you are.

Another great reason why it is important for you to write great content is because high quality articles are going to go viral. The more the word spreads about your post and your blog, the more people will know about you and the more people can help contribute to your blog.

Another important reason you should always write great content is that it increases your perceived value. If you are always writing great content on your blog then people will always see you as someone who knows what you are talking about and you will be able to get great results.

2. Don’t Just Talk, Talk Value

One thing many bloggers do is they just talk out their time. What matters most is not whether you update your blog or not, but the impact your blog has on others.

Research is a key element to building your authority as a blogger. If you take a look at most of the top blogger’s in your niche, you will discover that people take them for what they say and a lot of people will readily believe anything these bloggers publish.

It is very important to research effectively before writing anything on your blog because a lot of your readers will take your word for it and if they discover what you said was not correct, you may pay dearly for it.

People don’t like to be deceived, they love to have the best and the most accurate information given right to them. As an authority blogger, they look up to you to give them this. Don’t let their belief in you sway to anything less than well-trusted.

3. Be a Professional

Another important thing that every blogger trying to build his/her authority must do is to be professional.

It is very important not to neglect some important aspects of your blog like your blog design, logo, eBook cover designs, etc. People love you being professional and the more professional you are the more respect you will earn.

Another reason why you should be professional is that people will tend to stick with your blog and they will also love to promote your work.

Most people who are new to the web can hardly differentiate between someone with a big audience and someone with a small audience. They believe having a great design and a great professional attitude means you are doing something right.

Another way you can look professional is in your content,. Many people fail to proofread their work and leave their posts filled with a lot of typos and grammatical errors. This will not attract the right type of people to your blog and it will also cause a lot of people to see you as someone who is not serious.

4. Influence Others

Another great characteristic of successful bloggers is that they are people of influence. If you see a lot of new bloggers they will tell you they were influenced by “so and so” blogger.

It is very important to try your best to influence everybody who comes across your work in the blogosphere. A guest post can score you some backlinks and do some wonders on your traffic.

But a reader you influence will keep talking about you as long as he/she is blogging. Do your best to influence as many people as you can!

5. Speak With Power & Authority

Another great way to build your authority as a blogger is by speaking with power and authority on your blog. You don’t need to be speaking subjectively on your blog, but speak like you know exactly what you’re talking about.

One thing many blogger’s do is go on speaking subjectively on their blogs, which will not help you. It will only reduce your perceived value.

Try to speak with authority and boldness on your blog. In any post you write, that persona will make your readers take you for someone who knows what he/she is saying and they will be able to cite and quote you outside your blog thereby helping you build your authority.

6. Build On Your Strengths

Another great way to build your authority as a blogger is by building on your strengths. There are various types of authority and respected bloggers and one thing I can notice from them is that they have built on their strengths.

If you take a look at Darren Rowse and Seth Godin, you will notice they update their blogs everyday mostly with short posts. And they remain highly respected.

If you take a look at Glen Allsopp you will notice he only updates when he likes with super long and high quality posts, and he is also respected.

What matters most is not taking the methods of others, but finding out what works best for you.

7. Network With Influencers

Who are the top bloggers in your niche? Why not network with them and use their influence to take your blog to the next level?

One thing I have noticed among many new bloggers who quickly became successful is that they networked with the influencers in their niche.

If you begin to network with the big bloggers like Darren Rowse, John Chow and other major names, you will begin to notice that a lot of their readers and people who see your work with them will begin to respect you and give more value to you.

There are several ways to network with the top bloggers in your niche and one of the best ways to do this is by writing guest posts for their blogs. This will increase your perceived value and authority and will also help skyrocket your blog to the next level.

Over To You!
Have you ever thought about what your authority and influence might be in your niche? Is it something that is really as important as I made it out to be, or are there more pertinent issues to address first?

Blogging Discussion, Tips & Tricks Copyright 2010 Blogussion.com.
